Keeping the holidays merry and bright

Holderness Holiday Hacks

We’re going to be real with you here. With the holiday season right around the corner, we are often approached by brands to help promote a product or event. To be very honest, we turn a lot of those deals down. We know that the folks are watching our video to have a laugh and maybe learn a thing or two, so we only partner up with someone if we truly belief in the product. Marbles Brain Workshop is one of those brands we’re excited to share with you.

Our latest hacks video features two amazing family games, Rock Me Archimedes and Otrio. Easy to learn, but really cranks the gears in your noggin. We love playing as a family, but we also love watching Lola and Penn Charles play over and over again – laughing and creating memories.

We were thrilled to include them in our Holderness Holiday Hacks video. We hope it helps keeps you sane this season.

Want to use our pancakes in a jar gift idea? Here’s our recipe:

Form an assembly line with the family and add these ingredients to a wide-mouth mason jar (link to purchase below):

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dry buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • Wide mouth mason jars

Seal the jar and shake well. Add a gorgeous gift tag with the following instructions:

Pour jar ingredients into a large bowl. Add about 2 cups of water slowly, mixing and adding the water, to get your desired consistency. Heat a large nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Add ¼ cupfuls of batter and cook until bubbly on top and golden on the bottom, about 4 minutes. Flip and cook until golden on the bottom, about 2 more minutes. Serve with butter, syrup, and a hug.

Makes 15-20 pancakes.
