The Tired Mom Cookbook

Every day, it feels like I’m chasing some elusive goal of creating the perfect dinner that checks all the boxes: nutritious, easy to make, and crowd-pleasing. That’s why I am so excited to announce my new cookbook, I’m Sick of Making Dinners for Other People So This Is What I Eat Now

At the end of a long day, I don’t need a perfectly plated dinner. I don’t need to impress anyone. I just want something simple that feels like a little reward to myself and doesn’t require multiple pots and pans. Most nights I would be completely content with a bowl of cereal on the couch.

Who’s with me?

No One’s Got Time For That

Ok, fine. I didn’t really write a cookbook, even though coming up with something creative to make my family for dinner every night drains me. Some of my fellow parents meal prep every Sunday for the week. Am I the only person who doesn’t do this? Who has time for that?

People joke about “Girl Dinner” – the trend of women making low-maintenance meals with random ingredients, but “Tired Mom Dinner” is even lazier. Like “eating-a-pack-of-Twizzlers -you-found-in-your-kid’s-backpack-for-dinner” lazy. There’s something liberating about sitting down with zero expectations and zero responsibilities. It’s just me and my low-effort snack. Everyone else can figure it out.

Make It A Lazy Night

If I made a cookbook for Tired Moms, it would include cutting-edge recipes like:

  • Popcorn (Pairs Nicely with Rose)
  • Taco Shells & Diet Coke
  • A Handful of Carrots & A Bag of Chocolate Chips
