Get a laugh with our punny (and cheap!) Halloween costumes

diy halloween costumes

If you’re anything like us, you may find yourself scrambling for a fun Halloween idea at the last minute. But it doesn’t have to look like you just threw something on. Look like you planned your Halloween costume for weeks with our favorite punny (and cheap!) outfits.

We linked everything you need for easy shopping!

Kevin Bacon

Write “KEVIN” on a name tag and a bacon costume (avoid the real stuff – we heard it attracts zombies on October 31st).

Glue slices of bread on a t-shirt or snag this even easier bread t-shirt, and throw some gold medals over your head.

Dust Bunny

Grab yourself some bunny ears and tail and carry a dust pan. Done and done!

Chip on the Shoulder

Buy some mini bags of chips and safety pin them to your shoulders. Maybe you’ll start a new shoulder pad trend – so hot.

Green Thumb

Safety pin some flowers on your outfit and use a green Sharpie to color your thumb green. You can use rubbing alcohol to remove the marker on your skin.

Wet Blanket

Wrap a cozy blanket around your shoulders (convenient for chilly nights!) and give your hair a wet look, which is so runway hot right now. You can use Layrite or any strong, shiny gel. Come it through and slick it back.

Honey Bee

This is a sweet costume. Carry around some honey (also a yummy snack) and write B on a plain t-shirt.

Party Animal

Pick your favorite animal accessories, we vote dog, and throw on a party hat. Bonus points if you pass out party blow out whistles to really be a party animal.

Party Pooper

This pairs great with party animal for a couples costume idea. Try this poop emoji shirt with a party hat and blow out whistles.

We hope you have a safe and fun Halloween! Be sure to tag us in your social media posts so we can see what outfit you picked for the big day.
