We won the neighbor lottery over here. If you put a chair in the driveway, someone will come over and start chatting within a few minutes. Give it 30 minutes and you’ll have half the street and a legitimate party. We’ve tried to give “little somethings” to this sweet group over the years.
Here are some of our favorites:
Custom Street Sign Ornament
We have a similar ornament with the street name of our old house. I get so nostalgic unpacking it every Christmas.
Handmade Peanut Brittle
I always make a big order of this delicious peanut brittle to have on hand. It’s handmade by Penn’s uncle and it’s seriously the best you’ve ever had (I’m not just saying that because we’re related.)
Hand Warmers
Is it just me, or are your hands always cold? Just me? We don’t get a ton of snow here in NC, but it gets COLD (well, at least for me). I keep these handy and your neighbors should too.
Gardening Gloves
These are the sort of things you love to have but never buy for yourself. And yes, I’m dropping hints to my current neighbors in the event they are reading this.
Stovetop Potpourri
One year, I assembled a kit like this to give to neighbors. It took so long and the supplies got to be a little pricey. I wish I had known someone sold these. ADD TO CART.
Bless Your Heart Ornament
This is a Raleigh store that ships nationwide. Their needlepoint pillows and ornaments make hilarious and unique gifts. Especially if you have a neighbor with a good sense of humor.
Home Design Book
I love a good home design book to keep on my coffee table. It makes it look like I know what I’m talking about in terms of home design, even though I’m clueless.
Mini Fire Pit
How cute are these mini fire pits? As soon as I saw these, I may have gotten one for a gift and one for myself. S’mores anyone?
Backyard Hammock
I promise your neighbor will get good use out of this. We have one set up in our backyard and I love to disappear into it when life gets chaotic.
Fancy Initial Mug
Do you think by having their initials on it, they won’t lose it somewhere around the house? Probably not, but who doesn’t love a fancy mug?
Bread Basket Warmer
File this under: “Things you wish you had, but you never actually buy for yourself.” Perfect for the neighbor who has everyone over for holiday dinners.
Best Neighbor Doormat
Such a fun gift for your favorite house on the culdesac! (And I’ll try not to be offended if I don’t receive this on Christmas from my neighbors.)
Retro Mini Bluetooth Speaker
This baby speaker is the cutest and fun for those days when everyone is hanging outside because the weather is nice. Great for the house everyone gathers at!
Embossed Hand Towel
A personalized gift like this shows you didn’t just race out to the store 30 minutes before they arrived. (Extra points for thoughtfulness!)
Regional Dry Rub Kit
I love a unique spice blend and your neighbors will too. Plus, you may get invited over to enjoy the results!
