I am firmly in my mid-40s and I have zero desire to be in my mid-20s. I’m not saying I feel like I have my life in order. In fact, there are still days when I still don’t feel mature enough to make these grownup decisions I confront on a daily basis:
Should we get trip insurance for a vacation? Why are you asking me? That’s a grownup question for a grown adult. You need me to sign a permission slip? Shouldn’t you ask a responsible adult? Every. Single. Day. Aren’t I too young to know these answers?
Then I look in the mirror and I get my answer. New lines (earned from a lot of laughing) and under eyes that need a little more concealer. My skin is aging, even though my maturity level isn’t keeping pace.
Listen, I don’t need the skin of my 20-something self but I will try almost any product that even slightly slows the hands of Father Time.
So that brings us here: Every year for my birthday I splurge on some self-care items or experiences. Here are two of my latest finds. Yes, they are spendy. These were gifts to me, from me.
The first two are lotions with a roller applicator.
SBLA Facial Instant Sculpting Wand
SBLA Neck, Chin, and Jawline Sculpting Wand
The second is a device.
I feel like I’m seeing minor results from these.
I recorded a video using them. What do you think?
