You may be shocked to know that we didn’t kick off our careers with the intent on creating Facebook and YouTube videos for a living. Since our current career is a bit out of the ordinary, people often ask us if they should quit their jobs to pursue their passions. And to be honest, we’re never quite sure how to respond. So, we called in some backup. We invited Pete Smith on the podcast this week to talk about careers and living with significance.

Pete is the Amazon best-selling author of Dare to Matter: Choosing an Unstuck and Unapologetic Life of Significance. Having a stroke at the age of 35, Pete has since used that experience to inspire, educate, and entertain audiences throughout the world on the importance of pursuing significance in their personal and professional lives. As he says, “If you relentlessly pursue success and happiness in your life, you are settling for far less than what you were created for.”

In the studio with Max and Pete.

This podcast is a must listen if you’ve ever asked, “How will I know I mattered?” Pete walks us through the questions we should ask ourselves whenever we are considering a life change, like quitting your job.

Be sure to tell us what piece of advice resonated with you the most by commenting in our private Facebook podcast group.

About Us
The Holderness family has been dancing in pajamas and singing during snow days for years — but last year they hit the record button on the camera and published their goofy video on YouTube. Penn, Kim, Lola, and Penn Charles continue to make hilarious videos around tent-pole events and circumstances most families face.
