Gift Ideas For Younger Kids Who You Don’t Live With So You Can Get Toys That Make Noise

Don’t get me wrong, I loved all the stages of my kids. However, there is something that makes me very giddy about buying someone else’s kid the fun, noisy gift that their own parents would avoid. (By the way, I am not offended if you take out the batteries after I leave!) Kids are only little for so long and all these light-up, colorful toys will soon be a distant memory. Here are some of our favorites to get the littles in your life:

DJ Mixer

I love this toy for elementary-aged kids. Not only can they create their own beats, it also lets them save their work to play back for you later. Now you just need glow sticks for the rave you’ll have in the living room.

Karaoke Microphone

This microphone connects to anything that can play music via Bluetooth. They can sing along to their favorite songs or you can pull up karaoke tracks for them. It also makes a great “announcement” microphone if you need to get your kid’s attention.

Voice Changer

Our producer has vetted this toy as something kids of all ages can enjoy. However, we are warning you that some of them can sound a little creepy. Don’t let them sneak up on you!

Music Piano Mat

Not only can you teach kids to play piano with their feet, but you can show them the famous clip of “Heart & Soul” from the movie Big so they can reenact it with you! (Score)

Dancing Cactus

This little cactus is super fun for toddlers who are learning to talk or just making noise. The cactus listens to them talk and parrots back their sounds while dancing. Hilarious.

Play Electric Guitar

There are a lot of music-related toys on this list, but if the kid you are buying for isn’t interested in being the lead singer you can introduce them to shredding on the guitar.

Laugh & Learn Coffee Mug

If the baby you are buying for is always grabbing for Mom or Dad’s stuff, get them their own little travel coffee mug. They can feel grown-up while also learning their ABCs.

Walking Pet Pup

This toy was the BEE’S KNEES back in the 80s/90s and now it is back! If the toddler you are buying for doesn’t have a dog at home, get them their own that won’t pee on the carpet.

Walkie Talkies

This toy is great for elementary-aged kids who are always running outside and around the house. Get ready for them to perform “secret missions” with their new form of communication.

Duck Caller

These kids will be the most popular kids at the park with this duck caller! Perfect for taking to the pond and making new feathered friends.

Chattermax Bird

Yes, this is a repeat Bluey gift idea but super fun for kids who like the show. Chattermax will repeat what they say back to them in its own high-pitched voice.

Flicking Chicken Game

Not all kids like to sit down and play a game. This game gets them up and moving with rubber chicken tossing! The chickens are also fun to play with on their own.
