It goes without saying that The Amazing Race pushed me out of my comfort zone. Never in a million years would I go bungee jumping off the highest jump in Europe, or climb a thousand stairs, or EAT. MAGGOT. CHEESE. And when, as a middle-aged mom living in North Carolina, would I have the chance to hang out with twin radio DJs from New Jersey? By getting outside of my little bubble, we met lifelong friends like Lulu and Lala Gonzalez.
They are the charismatic twins who captured everyone’s hearts on Season 33 of The Amazing Race. They are the kind of people you miss when they aren’t around. Their energy was so contagious that when they were eliminated in Greece, the rest of the race felt … weird.
