Penn and I have adopted a new response when people ask how we are doing and we’re just doing fine: Medium. Not bad, not great… just “medium.” We got it from Penn’s cousin and honestly, I love it. Most days we are medium, and medium is ok. In fact, I feel like we should shoot for medium.
There’s probably a motivational speaker who is going to scoff at the idea of shooting for medium. But when there’s a lot of stuff going on and life is getting crazy, you should honestly shoot for medium if that’s the best you can do.
