Ep. 7 Recap: The Amazing Race

I’ll admit that even though we’ve lived it, I get anxious watching myself on TV when The Amazing Race is airing. But one of my favorite things has been recording the recaps after the show airs to help process what things you see on screen and the emotions around the day. It feels good to talk about what happened and give context to what was going through our minds.

Out of Our Comfort Zone

In our recaps, we especially talk about being pushed out of our comfort zone. See there are a few things you can expect if you’re going to be a contestant on The Amazing Race: You’re going to have to drive a stick shift, you’ll likely have to do something pretty scary (hello, bungee jumping), and you may have to eat something pretty out of the ordinary. Like really out of the ordinary…

In last night’s episode, we had to eat casu martzu to earn a clue. I’ll save you the google search, it’s cheese made by (and with) real live maggots. (Cool cool cool.) Get the skinny on this cheese and why Penn ended up taking on the roadblock task. Plus we answer some of your questions!
